In light of the social justice issues and protests, athletes have chimed in giving their stance on matters. Derrick Rose set the trend, with many other NBA players following in his footsteps and donning ‘I Can’t Breathe’ shirts on the court in support of Eric Garner. Well, NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver, has taken a stand regarding recent protests in light of Eric Garner as well…he understands the meaning and thought behind it, but “prefers players didn’t wear [the shirts] on the court.” Sheesh, hit the jump for further comments!

What is Adam Silver going to do fine them?

I understand you don’t want people just wearing whatever, but this is a bigger issue and Silver should have had the players back.

Very weak on Adam Silver’s part in my opinion. Unless he plans on stopping them, which would be a PR nightmare, he probably should sit this one out if he doesn’t have anything productive to say.

The players won’t be fined.
