Hopsin posts to Instagram:

I’m extremely happy to announce that I have already completed my 2015 album “Pound Syndrome” for youguys! I didn’t wanna tell anyone I was working on it because I didn’t want ANY pressure at all. The Funk Volume team is about to come strong as fuck! Shout out to @threekingsdr for the artwork! #PoundSyndrome #FV2015

Original:

This is what happens on Christmas morning; SURPRISE! After giving Funk Volume fans a scare, we find out that Hopsin quitting the rap game was a big ol’ stunt! Oh you silly silly boy.

About a week ago (YUP), Hopsin hopped on Facebook to notify us of not only his big move to Australia, but his drop out of the rap game. Fans were distraught and made attempts to pull him back in. While he still may be moving to Australia, quitting rap was all a big ploy. For what you ask …

Taking a page out of the Dumb and Dumber handbook, Hopsin with the assistance of fellow Funk Volume member Jarren Benton, trolled us all and admits is. “I did indeed,” he tells fans on Twitter. Now, we find out the real reason we were trolled. 2015, the rapper plans to release his next project “Pound Syndrome.”

Check out the stunt.

I can’t say that I’m super surprised. Hopsin isn’t the only one who has pulled a stunt in the name of promotion and marketing for a new album.
