Georgia Police Chief Shoots Wife By Accident, He Says…William McCollum is under investigation and administrative leave in Atlanta for an incident that his wife will soon not forget.

Georgia Police Chief Shoots Wife By Accident, He Says as Margaret McCollum, wife to Peachtree City police chief William McCollum of Atlanta, Georgia was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center and remains in critical condition.

Details are still minimal but it’s reported the Georgia Police Chief Shoots Wife By Accident with his service Glock 9mm a few hours before dawn inside the couple’s bedroom yesterday. No charges have been filed and McCollum is fully cooperating with the investigation at present.

“Peachtree City officers were called to the home at 4:17 a.m. and immediately realized it was their boss’s house. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) was quickly called in to lead the investigation.”

It’s confirmed McCollum shot her once and has no history of previous disciplinary actions. Though rumors of alcohol being involved have surfaced the GBI denies any further detail until a formal report is filed.
