Don't Compare A$AP with Tupac

The headline alone is like WHAT??? But calling it an “unfair comparison” A$AP Rocky Says Don’t Compare Him to Tupac though apparently–(who knew???) that’s the new wave…

In a recent interview A$AP Rocky Says Don’t Compare Him to Tupac as more and more media have been drawing parallels between Harlem’s own and one of Hip Hop’s most legendary martyrs. As for reaching for a keen perception on reality he noted:

“Those shoes are way too big to try to fill. I’m nothing like Pac. Nobody is, you know?”

A$AP Rocky Says Don’t Compare Him to Tupac especially* just because he’s making what some would call “the crossover” into a successful acting career whilst maintaining his brand, street movement and respect as an artist. This is the hotbed item ever since the debut of “Dope” the independent film premiered at Sundance by director Rick Famuyiwa, has been getting a lot of good buzz and has so far sold for a reported $7 million.

Though A$AP Rocky Says Don’t Compare Him to Tupac he went on to chime in during the interview on more perspectives in Hip Hop, namely other legends and staying in his own lane:

“Rocky goes on to add that respect for those who came before him in music is what led him to sidestep early questions about his given name, Rakim. Elsewhere in the interview, Rocky praises Pharrell and Kid Cudi for their ability to balance creativity across a variety of mediums.”
