Anthony Mackie Convicted of Driving While Impaired. This is bad news for the “Captain America” star. He was found guilty and now his New York license is suspended for 90 days, he has a bunch of fees and he has to attend those mandatory alcohol counseling meetings.They also have him on record refusing the breathalyzer and coordination tests. Anthony Mackie Convicted Of Driving While Impaired
According to the New York Daily News, Mackie was found guilty of the violation and was sentenced to complete a drunken driving program and pay fines following a bench trial in Manhattan Criminal Court. The original charge was made when the actor was pulled over on 126th Street and Lenox in November 2013 after making an illegal U-turn.
After he was convicted Mackie had this to say to the judge,”Thank you, your honor, for the opportunity. Thank you for listening to the case and coming up with a fair conclusion,“I wish everyone else had done the same.” Well at least he is owning up to his mistake.
