Fan or not, everyone was pretty sad to hear Derrick Rose suffered another knee injury. Rose suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee and will require another surgery that will likely end his season again. Many people tweeted out their prayers and well wishes for Rose including Lil Wayne who may have taken it a little harder than some.
Lil Wayne took to his Twitter account and said he woke up to the news about Derrick Rose and though he hadn’t cried in a long time, the tears fell for Rose.

Weezy has often been accused of being a team hopper but in this case it’s hard not to feel bad for Rose. The Chicago Bulls guard has now suffered three major knee injuries and has only played in 56 games over the past three seasons. Many are starting to wonder if he’ll ever be his old self again. In fact he’s garnering comparisons to Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill and Brandon Roy; all amazing players who succumbed to injury at the height of their career.
Some think Lil Wayne’s tweet is a bit much considering Rose is a multi-millionaire and will be fine but his mental state has to take a toll after dealing with so much and possibly seeing the downfall of his career.
