John Legend and Common won the Oscar for “Best Original Song-Glory” from the movie Selma at the Academy Awards last Sunday. Common was walking to the stage to receive the award when someone captured him leaving Oprah hanging on a high five LOL! He recently had a chit chat on Jimmy Kimmel Live where he was asked what happened.

Common explained, “You’re just so in the moment that I saw David Oyelowo first and I was going to him… I was wondering if Oprah was really facing John, I didn’t know if that high fiver was for me or for John so I just went safe. I made sure I talked to her the next day. We talked the next day and it was like ‘you know I wasn’t trying to play you out right? Never leave Oprah hanging.”
LOL too funny, I’m sure a lot of people were involved in a similar situation and instead of looking “dumb” you just leave that person hanging, somebody has to take that L.
