Drake Donates Money To Help Recording Studio At Philadelphia High School
Drake has reportedly donated $75,000 to help create a recording studio at Strawberry Mansion High School in Philadelphia. The students and staff have had their fair share of struggles and the principle of the Philadelphia High School Linda Cliatt-Wayman has attempted to really turn things around in order to improve campus academics and lower the violence around.

After seeing a ABC news report on Waymans efforts , Drake decided to get involved to help her turn things around. Drake stopped by the school to speak to students as a surprise while he was on tour last year, and to announce that he was donating to their new recording studio.
Drake Said
“This is about you. This is about your principal. This is about your future,” he said. “I love you. I care about you. I want to see you succeed.”

There were members on Drake’s crew who finished the studio last summer adding new equipment and completely revamping the old sound systems used at Strawberry Mansion. The New Equipment was left untouched until Wayman used the school’s PA system to debut a song that was recorded in it, which moved the students to take advantage of their new gift from Toronto’s own , Drake !!
