It was only a week and some change when we heard the epic #clapback of the former Chappelle’s Show host when a drunk “fan” threw a banana peel at him during a show. It was that story that let us know he’s still doing the damn thing on the road. The whisper of Dave Chappelle’s Rumored HBO Special Really Happening is definitely a good look considering the biggest headlines after the epic Radio City show were Kanye giving him Yeezy’s or the possibility of his son’s career in professional boxing (though it’s great to see him close to family still getting love).
Complex and multiple sources have reported on Dave Chappelle’s Rumored HBO Special Really Happening, but though the “untitled” special would have a dope premiere–the big guys at HBO are holding back an official air date as well as a confirmation:
“Chappelle is on his comeback flow. This would mark his first special in over ten years since 2005’s For What It’s Worth. After his departure from the iconic Chappelle’s Show on Comedy Central, he laid low for years before finally returning to stand-up in 2013. An air date for this gift from god stand-up special has yet to be confirmed. For now, HBO is not confirming anything, though they did tell us that they’re huge fans of Dave’s and would love to be in business with him.”
…mmm…oh the possibilities!!! Even though there’s little word on Dave Chappelle’s Rumored HBO Special Really Happening don’t forget he’s shed more than a few words on matters this past year.
