Malcolm Byer who’s rap name is Wais P The Pimp was arrested for promoting prostitution. I don’t know if you remember him, but he was a former Roc-A-Fella affiliate and was featured on Jay Z’s song “If I Should Die” from Vol 2…Hard Knock Life in 1998.

Since December 2013, the now 41 year old rapper has been the 3rd person to get arrested in a joint operation known as “Bright Lights, Big City” created by the Manhattan DA’s office and NYPD to target and stop human trafficking in New York City. Officials said that it builds cases on suspects using wire taps and financial records.

According to court documentation, Wais P “advanced and profited from prostitution by managing, supervising, controlling and owning” a prostitution enterprise with 2 or more prostitutes. The former rapper is still held without bail and prior to this arrest, he was also arrested for resisiting arrest and assault. DAAAAYYYYUUUUMMM! I guess he is no longer “big pimpin”.
