An Arrest has been made in connection with the shooting death of 70-year-old Leta Webb.

After investigation police have charged 22-year-old Julian Douglas of Queens with second-degree murder.

It was 1:40 a.m. on March 31, where Leta Webb, 70, was gunned down and found in a pool of blood, after answering the door to her family’s home in Jamaica, Queens.
Officials say that there is no known motive at this time, but Webb’s family believes the shooting was gang-related.

Eva Usher, Webb’s daughter, told PIX11 that everyone in the house was asleep when the victim answered the door.

“It was a hit. It wasn’t right,” Usher said. “It was a hit. I get back around here and everybody telling me it was a hit — and it was a gang hit.”
“It was a hit and I know it. C’mon, people are going to kill my mother. For what? C’mon, now. She ain’t do nothing to nobody,” Usher said.

Douglas also faces a weapons possession charge.
