Things just keep getting worse for Dr. Oz. Following reports that 10 physicians, surgeons and professors have posed a blistering attack against Dr. Oz by writing letters to Columbia’s University Dean of Medicine Lee Goldman requesting that the doctor be removed from the school’s facility because they claim he delivers “quack treatments,” Oprah has pulled the plug on the Dr.’s radio show.

The popular radio show “The Daily Dose With Dr. Oz,” that happens to be produced by Harpo Productions, will end it’s run on air and be moved to the internet on May 29th.

The interesting move comes after the doctor has been accused of being a quack. The decision to move the show off air is also especially interesting after Westwood One had just renewed it’s deal with Oz and the amount of priase the show was receiving from listeners.

Dr. Oz has been under fire recently over his support for some alternative medical treatments and his past endorsement of certain weight loss methods.

The Dr. fired back on his daily show last week, denying he did anything for his own benefits and saying many of his accusers had something to gain themselves.

According to Dr. Oz’s rep Oz had actually chosen to end his deal with Westwood One last winter only a few months after signing a new deal.

Westwood One has not given any explanation for why ‘Daily Dose’ got pulled.

The talk show ‘Daily Dose’ was picked up in 2010 and according to the rep, ”Daily Dose” had aired on approximately 150 stations, including six of the top 10 radio markets.”

Westwood One is offering a replacement show to affiliates, “A Better Life With Dr. Sanjay Gupta.” Gupta is the chief medical correspondent for CNN.
