Drake hit the stage at Governor’s Ball on Randall’s Island and teased New York City with his annual OVO Fest. The Young Money artist bargained with his crowd of loyal fans and said that he would consider bringing the next OVO Fest to the Big Apple if they were loud enough. “I just might bring OVO Fest to NYC maybe bring Beyonce, or bring Nicki on some young money shit,” he told the crowd. Since the beginning of his tour, Drake has been shopping his Toronto-based music festival around and teasing each city on his tour with the possibility of bringing OVO Fest to their city.
Drake’s set was jam-packed with memorable verses from songs like “Truffle Butter.” Before he spit his bars from “The Crew,” Drake confirmed new music with The Weeknd is on the way. He also performed his own classic hits like “All Me” and “Started From The Bottom.” He also worked in songs off his new album like “10 Bands” and “Know Yourself.” Judging by how incredibly turnt the crowd was throughout his entire set, it’s more than likely Drake will bring OVO Fest to New York City.
