Meek Mill is having one hell of a summer. Not long after shutting down Summer Jam and releasing his second studio album Dreams Worth More Than Money, the MMG rapper had the pleasure of being featured on #CRWN with Elliott Wilson. The Philly native brought out fans from all over the tri-state area to listen to what he had to say about his new album and his stunning girlfriend Nicki Minaj. Catch part one of the interview after the jump!

Meek Mill opened up about the making of his new album Dreams Worth More Than Money during #CRWN hosted by Elliott Wilson and presented by the good people at WatchLOUD. Before he was arrested for violating the terms of his parole last summer, the MMG lyricist had an entirely different album ready to go. Meek had even released several singles that were supposedly meant to appear on the album like “Off The Corner” featuring Rick Ross.

“When I came home from jail, I had different thoughts in my head about some of the stuff on the album,” said Meek. “When I went back to the studio, I just made hotter shit so I just x’d some songs out.”

Meek claims the songs that were “x’d out” from the final cut of the new album will eventually be released as a separate project, but he didn’t specify when. Later on, the “Monster” rapper discussed how he became so obsessed with the Internet and social media. He also explained what it was like to work with his boo Nicki Minaj in the studio.

“She was fighting for me to have a mainstream song and you know me, I like that real shit, that grimy shit,” said Meek. “I don’t need no single on the radio to sell no album. I never gave my fans that and they’ve been here with me this long, so we argue back and forth. She end up winning. Nicki is a monster.”
