A very pissed off fan has started a petition to force Funkmaster Flex from his position at Hot 97. After not delivering on his promise of Meek Mill’s anticipated response to Drake’s “Charged Up” diss track tonight, fans and detractors alike have been at Flex’s head about what they perceived as deception from the legendary DJ. The petition, which you can sign or just look at here, and it’s mission statement have claimed that tonight’s stunt was “the last straw,” and they want Flex off air for good:
This fraud of a DJ decided to lie to everyone for ratings and downloads of the Hot 97 app that Meek Mill would be on tonight to release a diss track to Drake to no avail. No one has given Hot 97 two hours of listening time since Biggie was alive, and it’s a crime to have taken that from us. The people have spoken and it is time for Funk Flex to step down.
The petition already has over half of the allotted signatures. Will Funk Flex respond? Hopefully we don’t have to wait as long as we did for Meek’s diss record.
