Russell Westbrook is an intense player and he goes hard every time no matter what.  This is why Kobe Bryant likes Russell Westbrook so much. During a Kobe interview earlier in the year, Bryant told Ahmad Rashad he likes Westbrook because “he plays mean like I did with an aggression.”  That aggression isn’t just against opponents in a game, Westbrook plays with that same intensity even in practice against his own coaches.

During the Team USA practice yesterday, associate head coach Monty Williams saw that aggresion first hand and told him “It’s a non-contact camp.”

Westbrook replied “I don’t want to hear that shit!”

Taking part in a drill, where the objective is to get a high percentage shot with just two dribbles, Westbrook became unhappy with the shot he was about to take so he passed the ball back out. Passing is not part of the drill and when Westbrook tries to explain himself, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony can’t help but laugh at his expense.

You gotta love Westbrook.
