I know what you’re thinking. Did he really say that?? Yes he did and I’m sure he is feeling the heat in his mentions on twitter right now. Austin probably wished he worded himself differently but soon as you hit “tweet” it’s out there forever.

He is clearly feeling confident in himself which is what he should feel but there still has to be a sense of reality. Fact of the matter he isn’t better than ANY member of the Team USA training camp, which includes 34 players and to say he is actually feels a little disrespectful. He did try and clarify in a second tweet that he felt everyone who was there deserved to be, just that he should have been there too.

By Rivers attempting to lump himself in with the best players in the league is laughable. I respect he should feel that way but guys who have made all star appearances and really have contributed to their teams are on a much higher level than him.

Now as far as winning the most improved player award, that could be a legit goal for next season but he needs to actually, you know, improve.
