Healthy food is not easy to come by in the slums. While fattening and sugary foods continue to reign supreme in bodegas and corner stores all over the hood, Jadakiss and Styles P of The LOX are on a mission to provide healthy alternatives for everyone in the streets, especially the kids. Jadakiss and Styles P have launched their own chain of juice bars called “Juices For Life.” The LOX emcees join the likes of other artists like Khnum “Stic” Ibomu of Dead Prez who are advocating for more healthy options in middle and low class neighborhoods. The Elite Daily gave us a closer look at what the New York-based rappers plan to do with their new food venture.

“In the poorer communities, mostly, the money gets invested in liquor stores and the kind of things we don’t need,” said Styles P.

The video also covers their intents for their new program based on their new chain of juice bars. It explains why they are so passionate about aggressively tackling the issue and considering the well-being of poorer, minority-based neighborhoods.
