The student referenced Eminem’s song “I’m Back” which features lyrics about the 1999 Columbine High School shooting that left 12 students and one teacher dead. The student allegedly posted:

“I take seven kids from Columbine, stand ’em all in a line, add an AK-47, a revolver, a nine, a MAC-11 and it oughtta solve the problem of mine. And that’s a whole school of bullies shot up all at one time. I’m just like Shady and just as crazy as the world was over this whole Y2K thing.”

After San Joaquin Memorial High School found out about the post and alerted authorities classes were cancelled and school was closed Tuesday. As a precaution St. Anthony’s Catholic School, where the student previously attended was also closed.

Authorities and school officials had reason to believe that the student had intentions to act out the crime, after just losing a parent, breaking up with his girlfriend as well as quitting all after school activities. Police also searched the student’s home and found multiple firearms including a 12-gauge shotgun, a .357 magnum revolver and a model of an AK-47, as well as ammunition and a bulletproof vest.

The student is currently being held in a juvenile detention center and claims his Instagram account was hacked.
