The saying goes something like “It’s fun and games until someone gets their feelings hurt.” That’s exactly what happened to John Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen after she made a joke about her and John having “no hot nannies” when they start to expand their family. The outspoken 29 year-old is firing back at those who took offense to her comment saying it was a joke.

In an interview with Lauren Conrad last week, Chrissy Teigen said she doesn’t want any sexy help. She revealed, “No hot nannies, drivers, or maids,” she added “It’s an ongoing joke in my house. I do want to have kids one day, so it’s something that I have to think about. But the rule is no hot nannies. I trust John, but you never know with these men.”
After the interview, Teigen began to receive tons of backlash about her comments. Tiegen, who has never been one to hold her tongue made her statement clear via Twitter. She said, “I don’t just go into random rants about hot nannies. The post asked, I jokingly answered. It isn’t that f–king deep,” she added, “just like low carb diet of licking chips, my ‘no hot nannies’ comment was a joke, clearly lost upon many. what is life. why must i type this.”
