Meek Mill and Wale have been labelmates on MMG for years now, and though they’ve always been close – there was some friction last summer, just before Meek was sent off to jail.
Meek had been upset that Wale didn’t promote his Dreams Worth More Than Money cover and its then-release date of September 9, and proceeded to launch into a tirade on Twitter – calling his former friend a “cornball” and saying that he’s been hating on him for some time, while adding that he’s “not MMG.” Naturally, an exchange ensued, but just like most friendships, the pair eventually patched things up. They’ve since hit the studio together and attended one another’s shows – but the boat was seemingly rocked once again today.
We all are well aware of the beef between Drake and Meek Mill at the moment – one that’s been getting more press these past couple of days too because of Drake’s new commentary in both FADER and at a show. Last night, Wale posted a photo alongside Drake, referencing the aforementioned show – as it was in D.C., and the guys had quite the memorable show there in 2010 in the early stages of their respective careers.

Many found this “wrong” to post considering Wale shares a label home with Meek, and proceeded to drag him in his comments under the picture. Wale eventually responded:
“have yall seen any blood shed in this feud? Has anybody got physical? Furthermorr it’s a photo with two people who have mutual respect .. I think I know what I’m doing. This is NOT a reality show or middle school.”
I’m going to have to go with Wale on this one. I am very much about being loyal and riding for your team – but Meek’s whole fight was ridiculous to begin with, and there’s no reason that Wale should end a friendship with one of his peers over it.
What do you guys think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
I totally agree with wale. I think its time for meek to grow up plus meek is still a lil kid in his feelings. And the beef didnt make no since and i also feel he’s going to in up frop from the label.
when are these brothers going to start acting like gentleman instead of petty chicks. It is sickening to see brothers on this type of platform with all of the drama the rap game is becoming more like the lyrical version of the wwe tounge wrestling association this shit is getting out of control some one needs to do something about it. Hip hop in a sad state right now.
