Dame Dash x Curren$y

Back in 2010, Dame Dash and Curren$y partnered up in a business deal to release a series of new Spitta albums under Dame’s imprint. Though they did release a few projects, the deal went sour after a while, and Spitta eventually parted ways with Dash to sign with Warner Music.

However, according to Spitta, Dame continued to release his music without his permission, so he went on to file an injunction against him in 2011, seeking $1.5 million in damages. Dash fired back saying he had permission to release them, and the case has dragged on since then with Dash having lawyer issues. Eventually, the suit ballooned up to $2.9 million in damages plus $95k in attorney fees, as Spitta accused Dash of violating the court order by refusing to hire new lawyers to represent him, thus making the whole legal battle drag out way more than it needed to.
