Rhonda Rousey seems to have little tolerance for men disrespecting women, but according to her mom, AnnMaria De Mars, Rhonda’s coach is the most disrespectful one out there.

AnnMaria De Mars is not just a protective mommy, but a judo expert, herself. She was the first American to bring home the Gold for the World Judo Champions, needless to say, she is no rookie to the MMA scene.
De Mars spoke about her daughter’s coaching staff and expressed her deepest disapproval of head coach, Edmond Tarverdyan. During the interview, De Mars talked about how successful Rhonda was before he came into the picture and how he would not give her the time of day for months before he decided to take her on as a client. De Mars also mentioned how Tarverdyan exploits the “Rousey” name to get more members to his facility, but AnnMaria did not hesitate to direct people away from there.
De Mars said that Rhonda does know about her disapproval and that she refused to remain silent about it any longer.
“I hate him. I would run over him with my car if there wasn’t a law against it.”
De Mars went on to comment on the way Tarverdyan speaks to his female clients.
“He has had that exact same pattern with many women in the gym and I have seen it with my own eyes, where they train there and it’s basically a waste of their time. And they’re talked to in a way that just makes my jaw drop.”
If you thought that Rhonda is intense, you haven’t met her mom. Let’s just say that the apple definitely did not fall far in this case.
