Loving support and prayers from everywhere around the world are being sent towards Pastor Davey Blackburn’s way this past Friday, in the death of his slain future family.

According to FOX59, people from California, New York to Australia and Africa, have sent their prayers on the Resonate Church’s Facebook page this past week.

Blackburn returned home from the gym around 8:30 a.m Tuesday morning, to find his pregnant wife, Amanda, laying shot and unconscious on the floor, with their 15-month old son in his crib upstairs. Amanda was placed on life support, but ultimately was taken off a ventilator and succumbed to her injuries on Thursday.

Indianapolis police stated on Friday the suspect is of African-American descent and wore a two-toned hoodie with light pants. The suspect is believed to stand between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and Indiana police are now offering $1,000 to anyone who has further information.

The killing was part of a home invasion, where the burglar saw an opportunity to take advantage of after robbing a neighbor two doors down.

Indianapolis Police Chief Richard Hite related to the crimes as a “heinous murder”. Major Eric Hench then warned the suspect:

“You left behind evidence… we will find you, and we will not stop until we get you.”

Amanda’s cause of death is due to a gunshot wound to the head and is officially being ruled as a homicide. The pastor has been ruled out as a suspect in the case.

The Blackburns moved from South Carolina to Indiana 3 years prior in 2012, to start the Resonate Church. Amanda was 12 weeks pregnant at the time of her murder.

Prayer service is being held Sunday at Traders Point Christian Church beginning at 5 p.m. and is open to the public.
