It’s been several years since we first got a taste of her music with her hit ‘Whip My Hair’, however aside from a few other songs and one EP we have yet to hear a debut studio album from Willow Smith. After an outstanding performance at Camp Flog Gnaw, Willow Smith sat down with DJ Skee, to fill us about all things Willow; including who serves as an inspiration before a show, why she hates being labeled and details on her upcoming studio album.

Willow Smith revealed her debut album is coming a lot sooner than we may have expected. She said,
“I originally had 26 songs for the album. Then I looked at it and I said, ‘You know, now-a-days the kids have a short attention span, so I think I should go in the teen area.’ So I cut it down to 14 [songs],” said Willow. “I usually don’t plan when I’m going to do certain things, so it’s taking longer than I expected. But it’s coming. It’s done.”
