Lionel Richie recently revealed that not only is he a huge fan of Adele but he loves her comeback single ‘Hello.’ Richie had his own hit record titled ‘Hello’ back in the ’80s, which has gotten a ton of attention since the release of Adele’s single. The similar records have even been turned into a viral mash-up video, that features Adele hanging up the phone on Richie.
ENews caught up with Richie after an event to ask him about being thrown back into the spotlight thanks to Adele. Talking about the mash up he said, “Wasn’t that hilarious? Hilarious!” then he went on to reveal that the mash-up inspired a future collab with the British Beauty. Hit the jump for more.
Lionel Richie dished on the future collaboration saying;
“We are going to be doing something together—that’s already almost in the works…I can almost say that we are talking, but right now she has a mission, Her mission is [to] get her record out and go on tour, so until she finishes that cycle, that won’t happen just yet. She is committed to that.”
