A Florida woman has been arrested after a neighbor’s home security cameras caught her stealing packages from their porch. The culprit is seen on camera casually walking onto her neighbors’ porch around 10pm, taking the gifts, and walking away while the family remained inside their home. After she was caught it was revealed that she is a wife of one of the city’s police officers. Oddly enough the victim is also a cop’s wife, who says that the packages were Christmas gifts for their 2-year-old daughter. What a ironic twist!

Dana Hagar, wife of Haines City police officer was charged with burglary upon being booked into the Polk County jail. Police records show that this isn’t her first run in with the law and that she’s already on probation for shoplifting.

Hagar later returned the gifts to the porch opened, but by then it was too late.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told WFLA,

The fact that she’s a cop’s wife is shocking, the fact that she stole from another cop’s wife is shocking,” he said. “And, then my wife saw it on Facebook and knew more about it than I did.

In addition to being shocked by Hagars actions, the sheriff also describes her actions as disappointing and disgusting because officers and their family are held to a high standard in the community.
