Congratulations to Queen Latifah for taking home her third SAG trophy. The actress got quite the applause tonight when she was announced as the winner in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries. She went on stage and had some very encouraging words for everyone who has ever been told that they “weren’t enough.”

“I’m in shock right now,” she said in her acceptance speech. “Thank you so much! I hope that anyone out there who does not come in the package people say you should. Keep fighting for it. Flip those rocks over. Keep pushing, keep turning. You can do it. You build your own boxes, not people. So knock that thing away, and do you!”

She also added

“I’ve often been told I’m not thin enough. I’m not white enough. I’m not short enough. I’m not man enough. Dammit – I am enough. I am Queen Latifah and I’m an actor!”

The actress has won two SAG’s in the past for her 2008 role in the TV movie Life Support, as well as a trophy along side the ensemble cast of Chicago in 2003.

Congratulations once again to the Queen from everyone here at IFWT!
