Earlier this week the world found out that the legendary New York DJ, Big Kap has passed away at the age of 45. This news completely shocked the Hip Hop community and left them and everyone else wondering what was the cause of this tragedy. Now, just days later it has just been revealed exactly what the cause of death was.

Big Kap’s road manager who goes by the name Ab Traxx has come forward to announce the cause behind the legendary DJ’s death. When speaking to Billboard Ab Traxx revealed that Big Kap died from a heart attack.

“He had diabetes but I don’t think it had anything to do with [his death].”

said Traxx.

He continued on with the conversation and actually opened up about his last conversation with Kap stating,

“Last night when I talked to him, he was fine. He was on the computer at 1 a.m. and then I got the phone call at 4 in the morning from the artist he stays with, Bank Boy Drop. He’s an artist based out of Florida we was actually workin’ on.”

DJ Big Kap will always be remembered as “a true legend and pioneer in the hip-hop game.” .
