Meek Mill has court today, Friday February 5, to answer for his parole violations stemming from his original 2008 drug and gun case. He claims he broke his parole stipulations which were strict traveling rules, because of his hectic tour schedule. The court isn’t buying it and says it’s because of his highly publicized relationship with Nicki Minaj. Meek could very well be going back to jail for a third time if he doesn’t have his way today and the twittersphere is voicing themselves on the situation. Hit the jump.
Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley has kept her word on the 28-year-old after giving him a break in his initial arresting. She has already sent him back to jail at least once for 5 months, (he got out a month early in time for Christmas 2014 due to good behavior), but this time around is threatening a two-year prison term.
Prosecutors say the violations include Meek’s unapproved travels to New York for a benefit concert and also traveling with Nicki Minaj in various cities across the country. Nicki has since been spotted with him courtside at Philadelphia 76ers games and elsewhere in the notable public’s eye since the judge has confined Mill to the Philadelphia region until Friday’s (today’s) sentencing.
