Tampa police officer Lt. Ruth Cate has stated that one person among many others of those shot at Club Rayne, had died in the early morning hours of Saturday and also stated that another person who was wounded in the shooting was taken to a local hospital separately.

Police officer William Copulos said the shooting is stemming from a prior disagreement in the club (let’s hope it wasn’t anything so petty), and the initial 911 calls came in around 2 a.m from the club about gun shots being fired.

Authorities have released that all victims involved in the incident were in fact injured by gunshot wounds, but the nature and extent of their injuries are not yet available. Police are also yet to release a possible suspect(s) in the shooting.

Club Rayne owner, Roberto Mederos, declined to comment on the shooting according to the Associated Press. Officer Ruth Cate says it’s unknown when the club might reopen it’s doors.

Police also said the area of the street where Club Rayne is located was closed to traffic until about 7:30 a.m.
