Kobe Bryant appeared on “Real Sports” and did a one-on-one with Andrea Kremar, touching on a range of topics from how he motivates his teammates to his rocky relationship with his parents.  Bryant was asked if his parents will attend his final game before he retires this season.

“I’ve thought about it,” Kobe says.  “I’m not sure.  Probably not.”

Kobe says a relationship with family is important but you can’t force things.

“I pray that one day things will be better between us,” Kobe continues. “But today is not that day.”

Early in Bryant’s career his parents were very much involved but things have since soured.  Two years ago Kobe filed a cease-and-desist order when his mother wanted to sell a bunch of his high school and early basketball achievements and memorabilia, along with two 2000 Lakers Championship rings designed just for his parents, via an auction house for an estimated $1.5 million.

A few months later, his parents issued an apology to Kobe via a publicist.
