Queen Latifah stars in the upcoming film, Miracles From Heaven, an inspirational film about the true story of Annabel Beam. Beam, played by Kylie Rogers, suffered from chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction disorder and was miraculously cured after she fell 30-feet off from a tree outside of her Texas home in 2011. Her mother, played by Jennifer Garner, claimed her daughter visited heaven and met Jesus during the incident. Queen Latifah plays a nurse that the family becomes close to while at the hospital.

While promoting the film in an interview with EOnline, Queen Latifah revealed that she’s finally ready to have children of her own. First she spoke about the knowledge and love she wants to share with her kids. “I can’t say what God has for me, but you will see,” Latifah said. “You’ll see when I’m lugging the baby on the hip that there is actually a youngin around here.”

Later, the 45 year-old actress opened up about why she waited so long to have children. “I’m little bit of a procrastinator,” she said, “I had some things to deal with. I had to get a lot of partying out of my system early in life for about 40 years. You know what I’m saying. I’m good now. I think I’m ready.”

She even revealed she’s open to the idea of adoption. “Maybe I’ll adopt a child that’s not necessarily a baby,” she said. “There are a lot of kids that need love out there. I want to be there for somebody. I got to get all this stuff and give it somebody.”

Miracles From Heaven is set to hit theaters March 16th.
