Kendrick’s surprise album that’s made up of cuts that failed to make his Grammy winning album To Pimp A Butterfly, pushed 178,000 albums in it’s first week (142,000 were pure album sales) and has debuted at no.1 on the Billboard charts.
This feat trumps many artists to date who strive but fail to make a great album, and he accomplished that with “leftover” demos. With no singles or promotion, K. Dot dropped “untitled unmastered.” around midnight on Thursday March 3, almost a year from releasing his illuminating To Pimp A Butterfly record, on March 23, 2015.
The project has cuts featuring Cee Lo Green, Swizz Beatz and his 5 year-old son producing, Terrace Martin & of course Sounwave.
