Its been almost two weeks since Ashanti’s stalker, Devar Hurd was sentenced. He was given 16 months to 4 years after being found guilty of felony 2nd degree stalking. It has been reported that Hurd just may be a free man soon. He has already served 32 months for violating a restraining order which gives him credit for that time. Now whether or not Hurd stays in jail, is left up to the Department of Corrections to decide.
If they decide that his sentence is longer that 32 months, he will stay in prison to face the difference. When he gets out of jail, he is not allowed to contacts Ashanti, her sister, or her mother for the next 5 years. Lets pray the DOC makes the right choice. Ashanti has suffered enough!
