Take that, Gene Simmons.

The Smithsonian will soon be curating a new exhibit, the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Though it’s not limited to hip-hop, it will feature over 400 photographs from the collection of Bill Adler, who was the founding director of PR at Def Jam. Adler has collected tons of hip-hop memorabilia since the 1980s, so you can imagine how strong his stash is!

Pieces set to be included are a photo of Jay Z with Jaz-O and Queen Latifah, a picture of Nas, multiple photos of LL Cool J and Run-DMC, as well as a hat worn by the Tinman from The Wiz on Broadway and more.

The National Museum of African American History and Culture will open September 24. For more info, visit their website.
