Someone call ASAP Rocky, I think we found the perfect study for him. 50 years after the U.S. government banned the trippy dug, were finally given some sort of research on the effects that LSD has on the human brain. Far out, man.

Thank the Beckley Foundation in the U.K. for this beautiful contribution to humanity. They have made it their right to conduct this LSD study in order to see what possibilities could come. Since LSD is obviously illegal, funding has been tough for the program. They’re asking for people to contribute and have raised 53,390 pounds as we speak. Take a look at their general motive and goal for the study:

One of things the that they touched on was tackling sickness and to use LSD, of course, as a source of medicine. Some disorders in which the study shed light on is addiction (ironically), depression, alzheimer’s, autism, and many more.

For the sake of science why prevent further research? Many are scared of a possible hypothetical outcome but that’s kind of the whole point isn’t it? To test and figure out how can we channel this discovery and benefit humanity as a whole. But of course the war on drugs (and a general negative view of drugs in the world) doesn’t allow that for us.

“The inside of the brain, thats great mystery. Even more than space”

says researcher Amanda Fielding. But to put it in a way that even our great friends in Washington would understand, researcher David Nutt says:

“Psychedelics have been a part of human history. Every culture that has been discovered has used psychedelics. This project is, I think, one of the most significant projects in the history of brain research. It’s been banned effectively from research for 50 years. Thats outrageous. That’s the worse censorship of science that’s ever been and I want to rectify that.”
