So, this Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan drama has been pretty much all over the news this week. After announcing his departure from their show “Live! With Kelly and Michael”, Kelly did not show up to her scheduled show date on Wednesday making us all wonder if she was ever going to come back. Well, wonder no further people, she’s coming back the Tuesday she was originally scheduled for.

The awkwardness dates back to when she decided not to show up that Wednesday. Former SNL cast member Ana Gasteyer
had to fill in the void as Strahan broke the news publicly to his Live audience.
Ripa’s silence is what made people wonder if she was ever coming back or not. She has not spoken to anybody, including Strahan, since the private meeting where the news was broken to her. However after a long period of reflecting, we finally hear back from her.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, she wrote to the Live staff:
“(Sorry for this late Friday night email),” I wanted to thank you all for giving me the time to process this new information. Your kindness, support, and love has overwhelmed me. We are a family and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning. Love, Kelly.”
Looks like things will be okay for Live after all. But how is Kelly and Michael’s dynamic going to change after this? Will the reunion be awkward? Only time will tell.
