There actually was an alligator encounter among guests just weeks before unsuspecting 2 year old Lane Graves was dragged under and drowned.

The gator was caught climbing up the the log raft that takes guests to Tom Sawyer Island on the Rivers of America. Disney World sources tell TMZ that the gator issue has long been a problem and it’s yet to be solved. Once the gator mounted the raft, park employees set out to catch the female gator, but to no avail. So now we are going to hold animals responsible for their actions and not people’s lack of awareness or to just do your job.
