As more and more celebrity stories continue to see success on both the small screen and the big screen, producer J.J. Abrams and Tavis Smiley are now looking to bring Michael Jackson to the screen as well.

Just days before 7th anniversary of MJ’s passing, Abrams and Smiley have announced they will be adapting Smiley’s new book, Before You Judge Me: The Triumph and Tragedy of Michael Jackson’s Last Days, into a TV series.

Via The Hollywood Reporter:

“The book examines Jackson’s highs and lows—including his constant hunt for privacy in a life that was more public than almost any other and the pressures he endured as someone whose fame made him socially fragile and almost unable to live.”

Before You Judge Me is in stores today, but there’s no word on the release date of the show. Would you tune in?
