Former Governor George Pataki is being considered to be a new member to the newly created Puerto Rico fiscal control board.

The board was created earlier this week by congress to help Puerto Rico restructure its $72 billion debt. Pataki spokesman has been approached about being one of the seven members. Members of the board will be picked by President Obama who will choose from a list that congressional leaders have made.
