While three people are held in custody, the one suspect said he worked alone, according to chief David Brown. He said the suspect was:

“…upset about Black Lives Matter [protest movement], he said he was upset about the recent police shootings. The suspect said he was upset at white people. The suspect stated that he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers.”

Something about this isn’t right, though. The gunman was held off at building where the police used a robot with an explosive device to kill him. During all of the chaos (the explosions and shooting) how exactly can he make it clear that the was working alone, let alone mention that his intent was to kill white people? But nonetheless, it shouldn’t have happened.

It is important to mention that none of this reflects the movement. Nowhere in #BlackLivesMatter’s ideology or plans does it justify the killing of another human being, cop or not. Let’s no succumb to the same violence that were experiencing. Let’s be better people.
