Tina Knowles Lawson was honored with the ESSENCE Inspiring Leadership Award at the 2016 ESSENCE Festival. Beyonce, Solange, Kelly Rowland and many others paid homage to Tina for all of the hard work she does and her kind heart. Beyonce went on to say that her mother was “the hardest working woman” she has ever known. Others went on to talk about how kind and loving she is.
