Everybody is now coming for Miss Teen USA 2016, Karlie Hay, after some old tweets surfaced online. What did the tweets say? Let’s just say if a 15 year-old white girl calling people the N-word isn’t enough proof that racism exists in this country, I don’t know what is.

In the words of former Teen USA winner Kamie Crawford:
“If u win any pageant — first things first, Clean up ur page. Cus if ur under 21 u shouldn’t b drinking&if ur WHITE the n word ain’t yo word!”
Since the virality of her tweets Karlie Hay has apologized, of course. And claims she was a completely different person three years ago. Now, that is believable but just like Karlie Hay said theres “no excuse”.

I admit that I have used language publicly in the past which I am not proud of and that there is no excuse for. Through hard work, education and thanks in large part to the sisterhood that I have come to know through pageants, I am proud to say that… I am today a better person. I am honored to hold this title and I will use this platform to promote the values of… The Miss Universe Organization, and my own, that recognize the confidence, beauty and perseverance of all women.”
Her twitter account was made private after the tweets went viral but, thank God for screenshots.

Really?!? Are you kidding me. The double standard is flying high here. Listen, bottom line, if you want the N-word to stop being used then stop using it. Seriously, if it’s that important to you then you will stop buying music that uses it. You’ll stop seeing movies that use it. You’ll stop accepting athletes that use it. You’ll stop buying the products of Hip Hop Artists that use it. Until you start doing that shut the hell up and stop with the mock outrage. You really don’t care that much about it. You just want people’s perception of you to believe you give a damn and that you are not a racist. I could care less what people think of me. I know who I am and who I am not. Your acceptance is unimportant to me. Now the phrase ‘my nigga/nigger’ is used so much in Hip Hop and Rap music that it’s literally acceptable language by African Americans… Until a white person uses it. My kids are mixed and I do NOT allow them to use it nor listen to music that uses it. If you want that word to go away then it has to start with the people who use it the most. Along with the racial slurs for Whites, Latinos, Asians, Jewish, and Arabs. But honestly a huge majority of people only give a damn about it when something like this happens only to show others that they aren’t racist. If this girl should lose her title over this then Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z and many others should give back the millions of dollars they made and stop making music. Oh and stop buying Beats by Dre. Considering Dr. Dre used the N-word like crazy. It’s very simple people. You want to prove you’re not a racist boycott EVERYTHING and EVERYONE that uses the N-word. You want this girl to be stripped of her title? Then don’t get caught being a hypocrite. Or do you believe that only blacks should be allowed to use it? If so, that’s fine. But come right out and say that. Until then I say again shut the hell up!!! And stop with mock outrage. It’s getting old people.
