This is pretty big. Never expected the ‘Teen Choice Awards’ to touch base on something so sensitive such as innocent lives being taken away by police. Alton Sterling’s son, Cameron Sterling made an appearance at the award show. As part of a section during the ceremony, they did a call for peace in which they featured many other children. I’m glad that ceremony’s such as TCA can touch on topics such as this without being afraid of what society feels should should be kept away from children.
TCA spoke on Cameron losing his father and asked that everyone stop the violence and focus on peace. People in the crowd can be heard screaming ‘I love you’s’ and some even shed tears.
