It has been announced that Marion Christopher Barry, the son of former D.C. mayor Marion Barry has passed away. At the young age of 36, he was pronounced dead.
Marion Barry passed away at the age of 36 from a drug overdose. After a continuous encounter with substance abuse, he tried to mirror his father’s political career but fell short. Over the course of the years, he’s had his house raided and even threw a garbage can at a bank’s security guard.
After smoking the synthetic marijuana K2 and PCP, he reportedly began to “act erratically.” He was shortly found by his girlfriend, and was taken to George Washington University Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 2:11 am.
Barry’s step-mother shared:
“My heart is broken, I am in shock. The news of his death is beyond comprehension.”
Barry’s parents both are deceased and he’s survived by his grandmother.
