Brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi came into the game together as the rap collective Rae Sremmurd, and though they very much remain a group, they also have solo interests they want to pursue on the side. As Swae readies his debut solo effort, Swaecation, Jxmmi has noticed that the media keeps trying to make it seem like there’s tension, and that solo projects mean they’re no longer interested in projects under the Rae Sremmurd umbrella.

“The whole industry going to do shit to separate us,” Jxmmi tells Complex. “We got separate tracks, because we can both rap.”

Swae also added some clarification on what solo projects mean for the guys, who just last week released their sophomore album, SremmLife 2:

“When we say solo projects, we say chances for the fans to get to see us individually. But we’re still Sremmed out. We might put them on the same disc—who knows? We definitely got different projects that we’re working on and tweaking.”

In other words, Rae Sremmurd isn’t going anywhere, so don’t worry!
