The deer were on the central mountain plateau of Hardangervidda when lightning killed 323 of them including 70 calves. What’s odd is that Norwegian Environment Agency spokesman Kjartan Knutsen told the Associated Press it’s not uncommon for animals to be killed by lightning strikes, but a natural disaster like this is something unheard of. and doesn’t happen. Omen? ?
