Over the weekend, Lil Wayne alarmed fans when he took to Twitter to say he’s “defenseless and mentally defeated,” adding that he’d be “leaving gracefully” because he’s done. Was this a retirement announcement, due to all of the drama with Birdman? It’s highly likely, and his industry peers came out in droves to let him know they’re with him.

Everyone from Rick Ross to Chance The Rapper, Lupe Fiasco, Missy Elliott and more spoke out on social media in support of one of the greatest rappers of our generation, and even Young Thug – who infamously feuded with Wayne in 2014 and 2015 – threw in some [shady] support. Of course, both Drake and Chris Brown had some kind words as well, as both artists have worked closely with Wayne since the start of their respective careers – with Wayne even being the reason Drake‘s career is where it is in the first place!
Unfortunately, the pair found it the perfect time to shade each other as well, despite Chris now saying he wasn’t dissing Drizzy. Check out their shots in the gallery, as well as the words of encouragement from many others. WE LOVE YOU, WEEZY!
Weezy needs to retire he sucks now when last has he made a “Good Song”? and the fact that he actually brought someone like drake in the game that has no creativity and can’t write his own music says a lot about him good riddance all they do is steal from from the Lil guy and put on more thieves to carry their legacy we don’t need him
Weezy killed his whole legacy by putting on drake.
