Mike Conley has so many reasons to smile heading into this NBA season. The Grizzlies point guard is the highest paid player in the league after signing his massive $153 million dollar contract this summer. He also is on a team that always finds a way to be competitive, even when you think they won’t. Perhaps what brings the biggest smile to his face at the moment however is the fact he will never have to wear Steph Curry’s Under Armour kicks again after signing with Jordan brand.

Alexis Morgan, who works for Grind City Media, the Grizzles in-house reporting staff, relayed Conley’s thoughts after being asked about Curry’s all white low tops that were the subject of numerous roasts last year. Conley told reporters, “Yeah, I’m not messin’ with those anymore.”

Conley was previously signed to Under Armour and had to wear some of their shoes at times, including those infamous Chef Curry 2 lows. On the court he usually wore the Under Armour Curry 2 Mid-tops but still, they are all hideous compared to most Jordans.

It’s clear he is very happy where he’s at now.
